Providing critical dental treatment to the needy in Jackson Macon Swain & Transylvania Counties of Western North Carolina

Our Therapy Dogs

Over the years, the Clinic and its patients have been blessed with the presence and warmth of our therapy dogs. Interacting with these special dogs is a wonderful way for children and adults alike to reduce the tension often experienced when visiting a dentist. The Clinic's Executive Director is known to call and ask for a therapy dog when the stress of dental emergencies is affecting the Clinic staff.

Yonah the Therapy Dog

Yonah is our current therapy dog. He is a beautiful 130 lb. Shiloh Shepherd, owned by Chris Pearson.

Deanna Klingel, Jessie and Melodie Hall

Jessie the therapy dog with her owner, Deanna Klingel,
and former dental assistant Melodie Hall. Jessie passed away in early 2011. Her gentle presence is greatly missed.

Yonah and owner Chris Pearson

Yonah has the ability to make people feel at ease. The physical act of petting him can lower the blood pressure of highly anxious patients. He is loving to everyone and quite patient with children and adults.
